This Year's Theme
Courageous Living in
Changing Times
For our inaugural event in November of 2023, our theme was Courage through Connection. The idea was to create a gathering for people who, like us, want to CREATE the world we envision through Dreaming and grassroots, aligned action.

In 2024, the focus became more active:
Courageous Conversations to Re-Imagine Community. The content featured discussions about the problems we are all facing inside "the box" (the public domain) and potential solutions that exist outside that box (in the private domain) -- things like Social Threefolding, Private Membership Associations, Equity, Private Trusts, and Alternative Economics. This year, our intention is to deepen our courage, build on these innovative ideas, and Dream up ways to
MAKE THEM REAL.

Schedule
This DRAFT schedule is provided for planning purposes. However, please note that it is SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

This year we once again have the privilege of featuring knowledge shares from community members in Viroqua and the Twin Cities, MN who have valuable expertise in a variety of areas. Join us to discover how your community can benefit from these transformational approaches:
THE EVOLUTION OF SOVEREIGNTY and the Renewal of America - "Sovereignty" is a term that awakens in us deep feelings and noble ideas. Once used to refer to monarchs, then to nations and states, it gradually came to refer to the rights of individuals within a free society. But what if sovereignty is a living, evolving "being" who has something new to teach every age and culture; and if so, what does she want to teach us today? How might fresh perspectives on sovereignty help us bring healing to the social wounds of America?
AGNIHOTRA: Aligning with Nature through Ancient Technology - You will be introduced to a simple, inexpensive tool from our ancient past with the potential to improve our health, well-being, and environment. The stunning results of several scientific studies will be highlighted and the technique demonstrated.
BANKING IN THE PRIVATE - How do we take back control of our money and savings? How do we achieve positive growth and prosperity? Through a decentralized approach including saving, loaning, and investing in ventures directly and privately. Waiting for those in power to reform or redesign our current dysfunctional financial system won’t solve our problems. WE can design and implement solutions for a bright future. You will come away with practical steps to get started right away.
FROM OWNERSHIP TO STEWARDSHIP: Principles and Practices for Taking Courageous Action - A renewed concept of sovereignty leads naturally to new ways of thinking about ownership, agreements, money, trade, and self-development. In this workshop, I will share practical examples of people working to embody these new forms and seek to articulate some of the principles and practices that might help us realize a new kind of society with one another. We will also explore the question: what is my utterly unique calling or initiative in the social realm?
THE TRADITIONAL SUSU: Private Community Micro-Financing - Learn about a form of informal rotating savings and credit association (ROSCA), prevalent in many African, Caribbean, and diasporic communities. Drawing from ethnographic studies, economic data, and real-world testimonials, the session will examine how susus function as a grassroots financial system based on trust, reciprocity, and community engagement. The discussion will highlight: the structure and operation of traditional susus; the cultural and social dynamics that sustain them; comparative advantages over formal banking; as well as challenges in regulation, scalability, and fraud prevention. This discussion will foster dialogue on how susu's can inspire inclusive financial models in both developing and developed economies.
CAN WE MAINTAIN OUR HUMANITY IN THE AGE OF A.I.? A Panel Discussion - From Anthroposophy purists to A.I. enthusiasts, this diversity of perspectives promises to generate compelling discussion and thoughtful introspection.
GROUP BIOFIELD TUNING: Realigning Your Energy Anatomy with Infinite Intelligence - The term Biofield refers to our body's toroidal-shaped energy system in its entirety. Biofield Tuning is a sound therapy system that works directly with this system, seeing it as intricately connected to our conscious and subconscious mind. This energetic realignment will assist with integrating and embodying our new knowledge.
CATHERINE AUSTIN FITTS KEYNOTE ADDRESS: "Seeing the Control Grid Clearly"- Control grids operate with significant data collection and AI to apply social credit systems that can be dictated on a highly centralized basis. A digital control grid ends financial freedom, replacing markets with technocracy—a system run by rules created and maintained centrally by “experts.” Catherine will help us understand the context of our current circumstances, as well as the most empowered action to counteract these efforts.

Keynote Speaker
Friday, October 24, 2025 - 7:00pm
We are thrilled to have Catherine Austin Fitts return this year for another inspiring keynote address. Catherine's presentation for WisConfluence 2025 is Seeing the Control Grid Clearly."A digital control grid is an electronic network of digital telecommunication and information systems that allows individuals to be surveilled, tracked, and made subject to invasive controls applied to their financial transactions and resource use (such as electricity, food, water, transportation)—compromising, if not ending, all human rights and liberties. Control grids operate with significant data collection and AI to apply social credit systems that can be dictated on a highly centralized basis. A digital control grid ends financial freedom, replacing markets with technocracy—a system run by rules created and maintained centrally by “experts.”Is the Trump Administration building a digital control grid?

Registration
In "Turning the Tide Toward a More Beautiful Future," we envision a society in which people are more important than money. Of course, transitioning to such a reality while immersed in one that places money above all else can be quite a challenge. However, we think it's an effort worth making.
This whole event is offered as a gift to whomever is drawn to it. From organizers to presenters, the valuable knowledge and experiences being offered are freely given, wherever possible. We recognize that the love, vision, and connection shared among participants are FAR more valuable than dollars . As such, we do not want anyone drawn to this event to be excluded due to finances. That being said, we do have food and venue costs that we are committed to honor. In an effort to accomplish both, we are requesting a modest, minimum registration fee of $50. (If that is more than you can comfortably share, please contact us so we can work something out.)At the end of the event, we ask people to check in with themselves. If the value of the experience was greater than your initial contribution -- and you have more resources available to share -- what amount do you feel moved to give? What comes forward when you are Self-referencing rather than meeting an external, financial demand or expectation? We receive with heartfelt gratitude any additional offerings in exchange for the significant time and energy investments that were gifted to make this experience possible. THANK YOU for your contributions (in all forms). Your Presence is what makes this an expecially unique and valuable event!

About WisConfluence

On Nov. 4, 2023, we held “The Confluence” -- our inaugural event -- in Viroqua, Wisconsin. It was the result of an invitation to an annual summer picnic from Common Ground in Duluth, Minnesota, to CoCreating Community (Twin Cities, Minnesota) and Driftless United for Health Freedom (Viroqua, Wisconsin). Each of those organizations was born out of the challenges of the pandemic. At the picnic in August 2023, we discovered that we each shared the mission of mending the social fabric, which was shredded by isolation and polarization, cultivating the vision of a more beautiful future, and exploring pathways to make it real. After the picnic, a few of us basked in the sun at the confluence of Amity Creek and the Lester River, immersing our feet in its waters. When the idea was posed to create a regional gathering to pursue our shared vision, the response was a collective and enthusiastic, "Yes!" That seed blossomed two months later.Just prior to our event, we learned of a remarkable synchronicity -- an event in Texas (just two weeks prior!) that shared, not only our mission of shifting society in a more positive direction, but the same name as well! After our midwest Confluence in 2023, and having some of our organizers participate in Confluence TX 2024, we came away inspired and excited to continue the momentum. Going forward, we distinguished ourselves from our Texas compadres by donning the name, WisConfluence. This event is focused on sharing knowledge and tools that EMPOWER US TO CREATE the change we envision. You are warmly invited to gather with those of shared purpose in Viroqua, the heart of Wisconsin's Driftless majesty.
